People often use abbreviations on chat and WhatsApp. Although, they are not proper English words, people often use them as it makes typing faster. Here are the full forms of these common abbreviations
(WhatsApp ରେ କିମ୍ବା Chat ରେ କଥା ହେଲାବେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ସମୟ ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ଶବ୍ଦର (abbreviations) ବ୍ୟବହାର କରନ୍ତି. ଏହି ଗୁଡିକ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ରୁପ ରେ ଇଂରାଜୀ ଶବ୍ଦ ନୁହଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଲେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଏହାକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରା ଜାଏ. କିଛିଟା ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ଶବ୍ଦ ଏବଂ ତାର ଅର୍ଥ :)
1. LOL: Laugh Out Loud = ଅଧିକ ଶବ୍ଦ କରି ହସିବା
2. BRB: Be right back = ମୁଁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଫେରିକି ଆସିବି
3. TTYL: Talk to you later = ପରେ କଥା ହେବି
4. BTW: by the way = କହିବା କଥା (କହିବା ବାହୁଲ୍ୟ);
Example: By the way, you were looking good today! (BTW, ଆଜି ତୁମେ ଭଲ ଦେଖା ଯାଉଥିଲ)
5. BFF: Best friend(s) forever = ସବୁଠାରୁ ଭଲ ସାଙ୍ଗ/ଭଲ ସାଙ୍ଗ ସବୁଦିନ ପାଇଁ;
Example: She is my BFF. (ସେ ମୋର ସବୁବେଳର ଭଲ ସାଙ୍ଗ)
6. DM: Direct Message = ସିଧା ବା ଅଲଗା ମେସେଜ୍ କରିବା;
Example: If you have something important, just DM me. Don't message anything publicly. (ଯଦି ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ମୋ ସହିତ କିଛି ଜରୁରୀ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଅଛି ତେବେ ଆପଣ ମତେ ସିଧା/ଅଲଗା ମେସେଜ୍ କରନ୍ତୁ, ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସାମନା ରେ ଲେଖନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ. )
7. IDK: I don't know = ମତେ ଜଣା ନାହିଁ
8. IMHO: in my humble opinion = ମୋର ବିନୀତ ମତରେ
9. ROFL: rolling on the floor laughing = ଜମି ରେ ଗଡିକି ହସିବା (ହସୁ ହସୁ ଗଳି ପଡିବା)
10. w/o: without = ଛଡା;
Example: I will be going to the mall w/o my friend. (ମୁଁ ମୋର ସାଙ୍ଗ ଛଡା ମଲ୍ କୁ ଜୀବୀ)
11. XO: hugs and kisses = ଆଲିଂଗନ ଏବଂ ଚୂମ୍ବନ;
Example: I will see you later, XO! = ମୁଁ ତୁମ ସହିତ ପରେ ଦେଖା କରିବି, ଆଲିଂଗନ ଏବଂ ଚୂମ୍ବନ!
